Topic: Successful Brand Extensions for Professional Teams
There are several key things to look for:
1.Read the article, “Brand Extensions by U.S. Professional Sport Teams: Motivations and Keys to Success”
2.Briefly summarize the study in your essay, focusing on what are keys to successful brand extensions and how the author found those key factors (i.e., method).
3.Find one or more professional teams that need to extend their brand. Provide the reasons why they need to do it.
4.Provide supporting evidence of your argument in step 3 (e.g., information such as the revenue change in 3 years and the increase in viewership)
5.Suggest brand extension ideas (or strategies) for the team(s). Then, analyze your suggestions focusing on how they can be successful. In this step, your analysis should be based on each key factor introduced by the study (i.e., considering all six elements to analyze your strategies).
6.Provide references at the end of the essay.

(2) Page limits: Your assignment should be at least two pages, but no longer than three pages. References and any other types of information attached are not included in page limits.
(3) Format: Times New Roman, 12 points font size, 1-inch margin for every side (i.e., top, bottom, left, and right), double-spaced line.
(4) Deadline: Submit the assignment on Blackboard’s Assignment Tab before class starts next Friday (October 21).
